DIAGNOSIS: Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

Patient presented with frequent lower jaw dislocation and severe pain which was hampering her day to day life. She also experienced inability to chew, talk close mouth and had psychological disturbances associated with pain.

On Investigations, she was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Three methods of conservative treatment were tried with no success. Operation was planned to remove the bony obstruction following which the smooth movements of the lower jaw was appreciated.
